Im kind of new to this, and i dont know much about who to pick first. Anything is much appreciated!

Go to the site http://www.mockdraftcentral.com and subscribe for free. You can then sign up for some mock drafts and get an idea of what other owners will be drafting. They also have an average draft position ADP which gives you a starting point.

You will only be able to access the first 75 on their ADP link but that still gives you a start. You can get a list of your mock draft and look at what other people are doing.

When does the Yahoo fantasy baseball season start?

Spring training officially starts on February 14 so i guess Yahoo fantasy baseball season could officially start around that date.

in preparation for your draft, i suggest you read all the fantasy news regarding baseball. read the projected stats, and as much as possible injury reports on your targeted player(s). check the mock-draft results, all the players rankings. and if you done your homework well, you will have an easy draft and chances are, you could win your h2h league.

How many folks out there are ready for the Niners to return to dominance?
Who else thinks that the 49ers draft was lights out, drop dead fantastic. I mean Willis, Staley, and Jason Hill are all extremely great picks. Nolan is a true judge of NFL talent. Who else is with me?

I’ve had a good feeling about the 49ers for a few months now and I agree that they had an excellent first day in the draft. I had them picking Willis in my mock draft, they where in need of help at linebacker. As well as Wide Receiver so I really liked the pick of Jason Hill. Plus they threw in a surprise and picked up Joe Staley witch I think is their best move of the day. Joe’ll help protect Alex Smith and help Frank Gore have another great year. On both sides of the ball I think this team got a major boost today and I think they’ll be pretty solid. Definite playoff choice, especially in the NFC.

Who is the best third tier running back to pick in fantasy football?
If you put any player that is first or second tier, you are a dumbass!

Top Ten 3rd & 4th Tier RBs
1. Ricky “puff puff” Williams (Dolphins)-Ronnie Brown coming off a serious knee, will carry a light load early in the season and Ricky whenever he plays is a stud.

2. Chester Taylor (Vikings)-Adrian Peterson is my favorite RB, but he is also one of the most injury prone in the league. His hardcore running style will leave him with a short, yet impactful career.

3. Edgerrin James (Cards)-Yes, James is a third tier back going in the 7th to 8th round of most mock drafts. With those WR core he will seldom see 8 men in the box. Now its up to Leinart to put up or sit down.

4. Ahmad Bradshaw (GMen)-Watch out for the low budget Tiki Barber to emerge as BJacobs has yet to prove he can stay healthy and carry the load. Ahmad is clearly a force whenever he touches the ball.

5. Rashard Mendenhall (Steelers)-In my opinion the best RB in the draft playing in the perfect offense to suit his talents. No one knows how effective Fast Willie P will be. If he is not 101% he will share carries and with that could end up losing is starting job to this freak of nature. If this happens move Mendenhall to number 1, he is durable, strong like an ox, and fast as hell ie. a young Jamal Lewis/Edge.

6. Cadillac Williams (Tampa Bay)-Look for the caddy to pull out of the garage early in the season and by mid-season grab his starting job back. Earnest Graham is a good runner and a pounder, but Gruden can be loyal-to a fault.

7. Leon Washington (Jets)-Arguably the most talented back in the Jets backfield, if TJones cant get the job done early the Jets will want to see what Leon can do behind the revamped OLine. This is a deep sleeper, but he is already the most explosive and best hands out of the backfield. The signings of Jesse Chapman and Musa Smith show that the Jets are preparing to bench to TJones if he is ineffective again.

8. Ray Rice (Ravens)-If McGahee gets hurt this guy will be a stud and can do it all . He will be a must handcuff for McGahee drafters. After the pounding McGahee took last year Rice will be counted on to share some carries while Balt figures out their QB situation.

9. LaMont Jordan (Raiders)-This guy was the best RB in Fantasy last year until he hurt his back and then was basically an afterthought. If somehow he can find his way back into the starting lineup dont be surprised if he pops off again. This is a deep sleeper as they get.

10. Kevin Jones (Bears)-Matt Forte is an undersized RB and dare I say a wimp. He has a smooth running style but is not tough and will suck in pass protection, he is not strong. Adrian Peterson couldnt even beat out Cedric the alcoholic, so KJ will emerge by default. I predict he will be a star in Chicago and will one of those dark horse dudes who emerges late in his career ala Priest Holmes/Tiki Barber. Kid has talent and can do it all.

When do the drafts start for the 2008 NFL Fantasy Football Season?

Yahoo! will start their drafts as early as the end of June. They start their drafts about the same time that Fantasy Football Draft Magazines hit the racks.

You don’t have to wait until August, you can start the fun in June. Just start checking Yahoo! in the spring for announcements.

ESPN will start their mock draft program about the same time as well.

The drafts they have out there now, will mean nothing until free agency has passed and the NFL has had the real draft. You need to know where players are going before you can assess their value.

Who should I take #1 overall in my fantasy football league?
It is a 10 team league, and it favors running backs.

Well obviously its between LT and AP. LT has been a top three fantasy player in the past five years, so he should be a very safe pick. AP is a good pick, but he hasnt proven himself as much. Not saying that hes going to have a worse year than LT, just saying if you want a safe pick, LT is safer. But i think AP could have more of an upside. The only problem with AP is he doesnt show up every week. but he explodes for huge games more than LT. But LT normally shows up every game, but not normally as strongly as AP sometimes does. personally, i’d go with LT. My strategy in drafts is to stay safe in the first couple of rounds. Also, being that you have the first pick, you wont pick again until later. So their might not be a good second RB left for you. So insted of picking the highest ranked RB left on the board guessing that everybody else drafted mostly RB’s, id try and get a higher up WR or QB, then once the top WR’s are gone, and people go onto picking TE’s and other things, i’d go back and take the top RB left. The thing i look at in TE’s, is the top TE doesnt make that many more points then say the seventh best TE. Same w/ kickers. Also, you can go to ESPN.com and try out the mock draft and see who is still availible for your 2nd pick being that your drafting from the 1 spot which is a very hard spot to draft.

How many draft picks do these teams actually have?
I might be wrong, but I am under the impression that some teams in this upcoming NBA draft will have multiple picks in a round, does anyone know who and what picks they are?

I am looking for free web tips on fantasy draft analysis that I can compile and compare. I like winning and I am the reigning champ in my league.

LOL, there are COUNTLESS magazines, books, websites, and TV shows that try to give out the perfect equation for that problem…but there are soooooo many factors that it makes it very difficult to give a SOLID formula for successful drafts. Mostly it will depend on what position you draft.

Mostly it will depend on where you draft.
Here is the deal, traditionally, you want to get your TOP END MARQUEE player in the 1st round. This 85%-95% of the time will be a RB…however this year, if you draft mid or later in the 1st round, attempting to pick up Brady, Manning or Moss is also a FANTASTIC option.

2nd round you have to balance out what you did in the 1st. It would be crazy to pick a kicker up in the 2nd round so you need another heavy point producer. Either another STUD (and I mean STUD) of a RB or a QB if you missed out on Manning or Brady. WRs are also very popular since there are less and less tier 1 receivers in the leauge.

After this it depends on what you need and whats available…it starts to get fun, and frustrating. You got to fill it out, but dont be afraid to pick a top player at TE or WR or wherever you can find one. Save the DST and K for later rounds, and just try to snatch up some good back ups for your RB and WR.

There are a bunch of sites to take a look at…my personal favorite is cbssports.com take a look at their mock drafts and average draft position chart…it will give you a better idea of what everyone else is trying to do this season.
